$440,000 Federal Government Grant to be used for footpath upgrades!

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters will invest a $440,000 Federal Government Grant into upgrading local footpaths in addition to its funding allocation of $950,000 in 2024-2025.
The Council will receive the funding as part of Phase 4 of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program (LRCI), which was established in 2020 during COVID-19, to support Councils across Australia.
The funding will be used to upgrade the following footpaths:
- Devitt Avenue (between Aveland Avenue and Gage Street), Payneham South.
- Battams Road (between Payneham Road and Ninth Avenue), Royston Park.
- Marion Road (Avenue Road and Glynburn Road), Firle.
Norwood Payneham & St Peters Mayor Robert Bria said the Council welcomes the funding.
