Calling all young artists – Enter the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition!
12/08/2025
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is inviting all Kindergarten to Year 6 students to get creative and take part in the Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition.
Whether it’s a magical snowy scene, a warm Aussie Christmas barbecue, or a festive family celebration, we want you to hand-draw or digitally create a Christmas image that captures the true spirit of the season.
Entries will be judged by Mayor Robert Bria, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes awarded for each year level, plus one Overall Winner.
The winning design from each year level will be printed on the official Christmas cards sent out by the Mayor, Chief Executive Officer and General Managers to Councils, government agencies, schools, community groups and key partners.
The Overall Winner’s artwork will also be featured on the cover of the December edition of Look East.
Mayor Robert Bria, who began the competition in 2006, says the standard of entries is always exceptional, noting the creativity and thought that goes into each design is remarkable.
Over the years, thousands of local children have taken part in the competition, creating cherished festive memories for our community.
What does Christmas mean to you? Entries must be submitted using the official online entry form.
