Concerts in the Park: Live music, local flavours and community spirit
12/01/2026
There’s something magical about live music under an open sky; neighbours gathering, families relaxing on picnic rugs and the sound of local musicians filling the air.
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters’ Concerts in the Park series returns this summer, bringing our community together through the joy of music, food and connection.
Set in some of our City’s most picturesque parks, these free concerts are a chance to unwind, connect and celebrate the best of local life.
Music lovers are invited to enjoy the sunset to a soundtrack of jazz, melodies and symphony.
Each event offering something unique while sharing the same welcoming, laid-back atmosphere that defines our community.
Jazz in the Park
Saturday 7 February | Koster Park, Trinity Gardens
The season begins with Jazz in the Park, featuring the fantastic Artisan Jazz Project and the ever-popular Lucky Seven.
Expect toe-tapping rhythms, soulful brass and plenty of good vibes to set the tone for the summer ahead.
Get ready to swing, shuffle and smile with Lucky Seven, Adelaide’s very own seven-piece ensemble bringing the timeless charm of 1950s Americana to life.
With guitar, double bass, drums, trumpet and a trio of saxophones (alto, tenor and baritone), Lucky Seven delivers a big, brassy sound that gets audiences of all ages dancing.
As they like to say, “Forget your cares and woes—just dance!”
Savour the sounds with delicious eats from local favourites Gelato Bello (Glynde) and The Filipino Project.
Melodies in the Park

Next up, Melodies in the Park promises a relaxed evening of smooth tunes and family fun.
Bringing the audience a world of music, movement and imagination are Sea Star Rock Productions, nature-based content creators on a mission to inspire a love of the natural world in kids and families everywhere.
Through song, dance, storytelling, live performance and an ever-growing YouTube series, Sea Star Rock brings environmental education to life in the most colourful and entertaining way possible.
For more than a decade, Sea Star Rock has been making waves across South Australia and beyond, performing for thousands of children and families.
From the stage to the screen, their original songs and shows encourage kids to sing, dance and connect with nature, all while having a blast.
With catchy tunes like Jellyfish Fizzies, Big Blue Bopping Whale and Fossil Rock, every performance is packed with interactive fun, high-energy dance moves and positive messages about caring for our planet.
For the rest of the night you will get to enjoy the sounds of Just Thinking and Purple Monkey, both fun and upbeat bands.
Enjoy a bite from Tornado Potatoes (Norwood), Jorge Maestro’s Mexican street food, or indulge in Chocolate & Co’s irresistible desserts, all perfect accompaniments to an evening of family-friendly fun.
Symphony in the Park
Saturday 28 March | Richards Park, Norwood
The series concludes with Symphony in the Park, a grand finale under the stars featuring the incredible Fusion Pops Orchestra, a powerhouse ensemble blending the grandeur of a full orchestra with the energy of popular music.
Founded right here in South Australia in 2011, Fusion Pops Orchestra (FPO) is a vibrant, not-for-profit ensemble made up of more than 50 talented musicians and 16 vocalists, all performing purely for the love of music.
FPO is proud to be Adelaide’s (and possibly Australia’s!) only orchestra dedicated entirely to pop and rock music, taking audiences on a nostalgic journey through hits from Fleetwood Mac and Dolly Parton to Simon & Garfunkel, Beyoncé and The Eagles.
They’re a shining example of the creativity, community spirit and homegrown talent that make Adelaide’s music scene so special.
Treat yourself to local delights from Pass The Dutchie (Glynde Plaza) and Signor Arrosticini while you soak up the atmosphere.
Bring a rug or chairs, pack your own picnic, or simply wander down and enjoy what’s on offer from our local food trucks. Each concert is a celebration of what makes our City such a vibrant and welcoming place to live, music, community, and the joy of our beautiful parks.
Concerts in the Park are designed to bring people together, to connect neighbours, support local traders and showcase the spaces that make our suburbs so special.
So gather your friends, bring the family, and make the most of summer evenings in our parks, right here in your community.
