This October, strut your stuff at A Day of Fashion on The Parade

15/09/2022

With dozens of trend-setting salons and boutiques filled with the latest looks, The Parade is Adelaide’s undisputed home of fashion. So it’s fitting that the entire precinct is celebrating the start of spring with A Day of Fashion on The Parade.

All day long on Saturday 15 October, Adelaide’s favourite shopping precinct will come alive with a range of fashion-related activities. Expect intimate panel discussions, a massive clothing swap and discounts and in-store experiences across the Parade. And we’ve put together the perfect itinerary so you can spend the day in style.

Morning: Do good, look great

Start your day with a Parisian breakfast of freshly baked croissants and black coffee at La Madeleine, then head to The Odeon for the 11am Fashion Talk with Cocktail Revolution publisher Stacey Pallaras. She’ll be joined by a panel of ethical fashion experts for an eye-opening session exploring how consumers and producers can tackle environmental issues, gender equity and worker exploitation to create a more sustainable fashion industry.

Afternoon: In with the new

At 1pm, stroll down to the Norwood Town Hall where the Council together with The Clothing Exchange is hosting a giant Sip & Swap event so you can update your wardrobe without spending a cent. Simply bring in six pre-loved (but well looked after) garments or accessories and enjoy a complimentary glass of Lambrook sparkling wine while they’re sorted. Then grab your tokens and start scouting for half a dozen dazzling new pieces in the ultimate celebration of circular fashion. After you’ve stashed your finds, browse the latest spring looks with a range of exclusive one day only offers and experiences across The Parade – all the deals will be announced at www.theparadenorwood.com/offers on 14 October.

Evening: Dinner and a movie

Book in for an early sitting at Arkhé and flaunt your new purchases as you admire the elegant fit out that won top gong at the National Interior Design Awards. Then don your double-Gs and head to a private screening of House of Gucci, which celebrates the rise and spectacular fall of fashion’s first family on the big screen at Hoyts Norwood. And because the day is all about the best of fashion, the $10 ticket fee will be donated to a charity championing ethical fashion.
