There’s Still Time to Book Your Work Christmas Function on the Parade

28/11/2023

The Norwood Christmas Pageant has been and gone and school holidays are just a few weeks away. That means plenty of workers are slowly winding down for the year, but don’t worry if you haven’t booked your Christmas party yet. There are still plenty of venues on The Parade where you can celebrate the festive season in style – here’s everything you need to help organise the perfect Christmas party.

For The Foodies

With an iconic pressed tin ceiling and vintage wallpaper, the stylish Fireplace Room is undoubtedly the most eye-catching function space at The Colonist. It’s part of a handsome two-storey bluestone building that has been a fixture on The Parade for 160 years, but the kitchen adds a dash of contemporary flair to shared entrees including fried halloumi with apple compression, burnt honey and thyme and pressed pork belly with braised shallots and maple jus.

For The Creatives

If you want to unleash your artistic side while enjoying a few drinks this festive season, why not try a Christmas party with a difference at Pinot & Picasso? Once everyone gathers in the studio, they’ll be provided with a blank canvas, paint, brushes and a resident artist to guide them in their creative journey, as well as glassware to hold all the necessary inspiration (just remember to byo wine). Then you can choose whether to create classic Christmas scenes, get funky with glowing UV paint or even make some DIY baubles to hang on the tree at home.

For Sports Lovers

With giant screens playing everything from footy and cricket to EPL, The Bath Hotel on the corner of Queen Street is the home of sports on The Parade. Two TVs in the Front Bar and a big screen in the spacious Lounge Area mean you catch every second of the action as you tuck into hot platters and hand-stretched pizzas from Base Bar’s wood-fired oven. And it’s easy to pick a winner from the drinks packages that come in bronze, silver and the top-of-the-line gold that includes all tap beers alongside wines from the likes of Skillogalee and Hentley Farm.

For Everyone

With an exposed brick and timber function centre that can fit up to 300 guests and a more intimate upstairs boardroom with room for 60, the Norwood Hotel has you covered no matter what size business you operate. The food and beverage options are equally versatile, letting you choose from platters or sit down meals as well as a cash bar, tab or bottomless drinks package. And if you want to let someone else make all the decisions, you can even book a table at the Acoustic Fix Xmas Party featuring three sets of classic rock and dancefloor favourites on Friday Dec 8.
