New Location, Same Impeccable Service: Marro’s Hair & Beauty Lands on The Parade

With almost a century of combined experience in hair care, Tina and Angelo Marro have been helping Adelaideans of all stripes find their perfect look for generations. But after operating the salon that bears their name from Firle since 1987, last year they decided that Marro’s Hair & Beauty needed a change. “We wanted to move to a new environment,” says Tina, “and The Parade was perfect because it’s such a stylish area and relocating meant we could be part of everything exciting that’s happening here right now.”

A great deal of thought went into the design of the new location, which opened in mid-December and “looks completely different. It’s a lot more open, it’s a lot brighter, it’s a lot more modern… it’s like a fresh start for us.” Features like track lighting, elegant arch mirrors with backing curtains and plenty of natural light are reflective of an offering that promotes natural beauty in a classic salon setting.

In addition to cuts, colours, styling and extensions, the salon offers beauty treatments including waxing and deep cleansing facials, as well as more intensive work like Botox reconstructive treatment to rejuvenate and restore your hair. “Ultimately, our aim at Marro’s is to enhance our clients’ inner beauty,” Tina explains, which is why she always stocks a range of ammonia-free vegan colours alongside classic beauty brands like L'Oréal, Kérastase and Ultraceuticals.

With six staff for eight chairs, there’s plenty of one-on-one attention and the stylists are experts at making clients feel special with “in-salon rituals that include hot towels and a soothing massage. And we always go an extra step by personalising each experience to their unique hair colour and preference.”

Almost four decades after opening the doors to their salon, Tina is still passionate about making every client feel special. “Marro’s is a place where precision meets personalisation,” she says, “and everyone who walks through our doors can expect a tailored cut designed especially for them.” That level of personal service has helped the business become firmly established on The Parade in less than a year and their position was cemented when Marro’s won Best Hair/ Beauty Salon at the Eastside Business Awards in April.
