Adelaide Fringe in Adelaide’s East

03/03/2025

The Fringe Festival delivers a range of arts experiences from contemporary and quirky to comedy and cabaret — and everything in between.

And this year, you’ll find more than 40 Fringe acts doing their thing at local venues across the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters until 23 March.

The Suburban Brew, Glynde is just one venue turning on the stage lights for a month of Fringe fun.

“We’re hosting a fantastic variety of shows this year, with a strong focus on comedy and live music,” says Tom Clark, The Suburban Brew Venue Manager.

“One of our main highlights is My Cousin Vlad: Life’s a Joke (Fringe debut), a comedy show that’s sure to bring the laughs.

“We’re also thrilled to present Granny Flaps with her award-winning roadshow, Paul Canlan: Welcome to Us with a comedic look inside couples therapy, and The Glory Jays, who will be touring local craft breweries with their Hoppest 100 live music show.”

If you’re after a cultural experience, Tom says that African Cirque Ensemble is one not to be missed.

“The African Cirque Ensemble will bring a high-energy mix of music, dance, and acrobatics that will captivate the audience.

“These performances are set to deliver something truly unique for Fringe-goers and we’re excited to have them right here in Glynde!”

Tom says that bringing the Fringe into the suburbs makes for a more inclusive festival that is accessible for a wider audience who may not be able to attend in the city.

“Having the Fringe here in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters allows local venues to showcase their unique spaces and gives both emerging and established artists an opportunity to perform outside the traditional Fringe hubs.

“It’s a great way to bring a fresh perspective to the festival while supporting the community.”
