We know it isn’t always possible to pick up your favourite books or next reads from the Library so that’s why we bring the Library to you!

Perhaps you’re recovering from surgery, living with a disability, experiencing a short-term illness or facing mobility challenges that prevent you from accessing your local library — no reason to miss out on everything libraries have to offer!

Part of our commitment is ensuring everyone can access our Libraries and the Council’s  Home Library Service does just that by bringing the library to your door.

How it works

The Home Library Service allows residents to borrow books, audiobooks, DVDs and other library materials without leaving the comfort and safety of their home.

Library staff deliver requested items directly to your doorstep, so you don’t have to worry about traveling to the library.

Loan periods and limits

To ensure a smooth and fair borrowing experience, normal loan periods and limits apply to the Home Library Service.

This means the same borrowing privileges as in-person borrowing apply.

Simply request materials you're interested in and library staff will ensure you have everything you need within the standard loan timeframes.
