Temporary Traffic Control Device Notice - Epitaphios Procession

I, Christopher Drew Holland, Senior Sergeant First Class of Police, for, and on behalf
of the Commissioner of Police, exercise the authority delegated by the Minister for
Transport under Section 11 Road Traffic Act, and make the following order under
Section 33 of the Act.
I declare that ‘Norwood Greek Easter’ is an event to which this section applies and
that the following roads be closed to traffic between 6.00pm and 11.59pm on Friday
18 April 2025:
Within the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters: -
• Woods Street, Norwood between The Parade and Beulah Road
• The Parade, Norwood between Woods Street and Osmond Terrace
• Osmond Terrace, Norwood between The Parade and Beulah Road
• Beulah Road, Norwood between Woods Street and Osmond Terrace
I direct that persons taking part in the ‘Norwood Greek Easter’ on the above road be
exempted from all Australian Road Rules relating to pedestrian behaviour on roads.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICE
NOTICE UNDER SECTION 17 (3) ROAD TRAFFIC ACT, 1961
I further declare that the ‘Norwood Greek Easter’ to be conducted at Norwood is a
‘temporary purpose’ to which this section applies.
I direct that a 40 km/h speed restriction will apply to the following roads between
6.00pm and 11.59pm on Friday 18 April 2025:
Within the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters: -
• The Parade, Norwood from approximately 25 metres east of Osmond Terrace
to approximately 125 metres west of Woods Street
• Elizabeth Street, Norwood from The Parade for approximately 25 metres
south
• Osmond Terrace, Norwood from approximately 25 metres north of Beulah
Road to approximately 50 metres south of The Parade.
I also hereby authorise Makesafe Traffic Management or its agents and contractors
to install and remove, or cause the installation and removal of necessary and
appropriate traffic control devices for the conduct of this event.
I direct that the installation and removal of necessary and appropriate traffic control
devices for the conduct of this event can only be performed by a person with work zone
traffic management training.
All works to be undertaken must be done so in accordance with the "SA Standards
for Workzone Traffic Management" (which calls up the Austroads Guide to
Temporary Traffic Management and AS1742.3).
