Glynde Vehicle Access Study – Have Your Say
09/02/2026
The Council is undertaking a Vehicle Access Study for the Glynde precinct to better understand how commercial vehicles move through the area and how this impacts local streets.
The precinct is home to many businesses that rely on trucks and other large vehicles for deliveries and daily operations.
Currently, vehicle routes are not clearly defined, which can lead to inconsistent movements and increased impacts on surrounding residential streets.
The Council also regularly receives community feedback about road safety and traffic issues in the area.
This study builds on the 2023 Glynde, Payneham, Payneham South, Firle, Trinity Gardens and St Morris Traffic Study, which identified the need for closer consideration of large vehicle access within Glynde.
The study will investigate current vehicle movements and access needs and develop a clear access plan to help guide future decisions about road use, parking and infrastructure.
The aim is to support local businesses while improving safety and minimising impacts on nearby residents.
