Strong communities don’t just happen, they are built through shared experiences, creative ideas and people coming together with shared values and goals and to support one another.
Each year, the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters proudly invests in this connection through its Community Funding Program, helping local groups, organisations and artists turn great ideas into meaningful outcomes.
With a total of $84,000 available in the 2026–2026 financial year, the Community Funding Program supports initiatives that respond to local needs, bring people together and create lasting benefits across the City.
As we enter the second half of the financial year, now is the perfect time for eligible groups and individuals to apply and be part of this collective impact.
The program provides funding of up to $5,000 per project across seven diverse grant categories, ensuring a wide range of community interests and ideas can be supported.
These include Community Development, Environment, Events, Sports & Recreation, Artistic & Cultural Programs, Artistic Development and Public Art.
From neighbourhood well-being initiatives and sustainability projects to local festivals, creative programs and opportunities for artists to grow and share their work, the Community Funding Program is designed to foster collaboration, inclusion and connection.
Each funded project plays a role in strengthening community pride, improving well-being and enhancing the places where people live, work and gather.
Grants are awarded to projects that demonstrate a clear benefit to the community, align with identified local needs and encourage participation across different groups.
Whether it’s a new idea or an expansion of an existing program, the focus is on creating positive, shared experiences that help our community thrive.
