Weather Warning - February 2026

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for the Adelaide Metropolitan region for heavy rainfall which is likely to occur this weekend.

The Council advises residents to exercise due caution during the storm and follow any warnings and advice issued by the Bureau of Meteorology, the State Emergency Service (SES) and the Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS).

The SA State Emergency Service (SASES) is the lead response agency for floods, storms and extreme weather including heatwaves in South Australia.

The SES will have sandbags available for the public to collect from the following locations:

  • Campbelltown SES Unit, 141 Montacute Road, Campbelltown
  • Eastern Suburbs SES Unit, 32 Stephen Street, Norwood

Council staff will be on call to respond to after hours concerns, such as: Fallen Street Trees and Council infrastructure, such as roads, kerbing and footpaths. Please contact the Council 's After Hours on 8366 4555.
