Playground upgrades underway across our City

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is continuing to invest in local playgrounds, creating safe, welcoming and enjoyable places for children and families to play, explore and connect.

A number of playground projects are currently underway, with works being delivered progressively through to the New Year.

Local playground upgrades

The following local community playgrounds are being upgraded:

• Maurice Clayton Reserve, Augusta Street, Maylands
• Stacey Reserve, corner of Bakewell and Elizabeth Streets, Evandale
• Linde Reserve, between Nelson and Stepney Streets, Stepney
• Scott Street Reserve, Scott Street, Firle

Works include new playground equipment, edging and softfall mulch.

The Adey Reserve playground, Scott Street, Firle, will also undergo a significant transformation, with upgraded facilities designed to improve the play experience and better integrate the playground with the surrounding reserve and natural environment. 

The playground at St Peters Child Care Centre & Pre-school will also be upgraded to improve the play experience for children attending the Centre.

These projects will improve the safety, accessibility and play value of these spaces, providing new opportunities for children and families to enjoy their local parks.

While works are underway

For the safety of the community and contractors, playgrounds will be temporarily closed while works are underway.

Council has also recently delivered playground upgrades at St Morris Reserve, Broad Street Reserve, Bridge Road Reserve, Burchell Reserve and the popular Dunstan Adventure Playground
