Council adopts updated naming of roads and public places policy

In accordance with Section 219(7) of the Local Government Act 1999, the Council is providing the required public notice of its adoption of the amended Naming of Roads and Public Places Policy.

The Council adopted the amended Naming of Roads and Public Places Policy at its Ordinary Council Meeting on 4 August 2026.

The Policy outlines the requirements for Council consideration when assigning or changing the name of a road or public place in the City.
