Marking 100 years since the birth of one of South Australia’s most influential leaders, Don Dunstan · 100 Years invites visitors to step into the world of Don Dunstan and explore the life, ideas and enduring impact of a man who helped shape modern South Australia.

A passionate reformer, advocate for social justice and champion of the arts, Don Dunstan transformed South Australia during the 1960s and 1970s through groundbreaking reforms that reshaped the state’s social and cultural identity.

Dunstan lived in Norwood from 1951 and represented the Electorate of Norwood for more than 25 years. This exhibition invites visitors to discover Don not only as the Premier of South Australia, but as a local resident — a man who lived, worked and loved in Norwood.

Through personal items generously provided by Dunstan’s widower, visitors can gain a unique insight into his life, passions and personality and reflect on the ideas, courage and creativity of a leader whose vision helped shape modern South Australia and continues to inspire today.
