Trees are the lungs of our community, bringing cooler temperatures in summer and providing habitat for animals to sustain biodiversity. But they need careful planning and management.

The draft Tree Strategy 2022 – 2027 provides a blueprint to guide the management, forward planning, planting and maintenance of all trees within the City, with a particular focus on street trees.

The overarching vision of the strategy is to create a greener, cooler and more liveable City to enhance community well-being.

If you have specific views on how you would like to see trees managed in the City, we invite you to review the strategy and submit your feedback now.
